The Quiet Man audiobook is here at last! We’re sorry we’ve kept you waiting. What with ‘the-you-know-what’ there were unforeseen delays and technical hoo-has but we’re glad to announce that you can catch up with Bunny’s latest antics and Morgan’s sweet dulcet tones in The Quiet Man.

How do I get it?

One of the ways you can listen to it is via an app called Authors Direct. It’s from a 100% legit company, who work with some of the biggest publishing platforms in the world and it provides all the functionality you get from the Audible app. You can download it on iPhones and iPads, Android phones or through an internet browser.

Authors Direct is currently available in the UK, US, Canada, EU and Australia (sorry!). You can get The Quiet Man here. Scroll down for more info on how to download it.

I can’t access Authors Direct. Where else can I get it?

The Quiet Man is being distributed to all the usual places and it will be available on Apple, Google Play, Kobo, Nook, Chirp, hoopla etc, in the next couple of weeks.

When will it be on Audible?

Audible currently have a massive backlog which has added to the already lengthy audiobook publishing process. We’re hopeful it will be up there soon but we have no idea when (current estimates are around two months). We’ve considered sending Bunny round but unfortunately even the threat of him doesn’t speed things up! We’ll keep you updated.

How to download it from Authors Direct

Here is how to do it:

1) Click on https://shop.authors-direct.com/collections/caimh-mcdonnell/products/the-quiet-man

2) Select Add to Cart.

3) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Check Out.

4) Enter your email address and billing details. Please note: If you’ve already got the Authors Direct app, please use the email you registered with otherwise a new account will be created and the audiobook won’t appear in your app.

5) Now enter your payment details and voila! If you already have the app, log in and The Quiet Man should be in your library.

If you don’t have the app head to the email address you used to create your account. You’ll find an email titled Welcome to Authors Direct! from Authors Direct Audiobooks. The email will contain a temporary password and links to download the app and audiobook on iOS and Android devices.

When you open the app it will ask you to create a new password and then you’re all set up and ready to listen to The Quiet Man.
